ABOUT

Working at NBCUniversal for most of my career has given me the rare opportunity to create across an unusually broad range of genres, from sports and comedy to documentary filmmaking and branded content. On paper, that path might seem unconventional. As a filmmaker, it's been an incredible education.

Every project, every set, and every genre has taught me something different about storytelling, performance, and tone. I've worked with athletes, actors, comedians, broadcasters, everyday people, and some of the biggest brands in the world. Through all of it, I've found that the keys to great storytelling are usually the same: find the emotional core, uncover the human truth, and tell the story in a way that feels thoughtful and artfully crafted.

Whether I'm directing a sports-centric campaign, a comedic performance, or a more intimate documentary-style story, I'm always searching for the moments that feel honest. I love finding ways to deliver a brand message without sacrificing emotional authenticity, even when the work is playful or larger than life. No matter the genre, I'm always looking for where the cinema lives within a project.

Tone is everything. It can make or break a project. Whether a story is comedic, emotional, inspirational, or purely entertaining, finding the right tone is what allows an audience to connect and trust what's in front of them. I'm obsessed with that. Once that foundation is in place, every creative choice has purpose.

One of the things I love most about directing is collaborating with others to bring a story to life. Working alongside talented writers, crews, and actors remains one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. I have enormous respect for performers and the vulnerability that's required of them. Creating an environment where people feel comfortable enough to take risks, be present, and most importantly be themselves is something I take just as seriously as the finished product. In fact, I believe it has a direct effect on the final result.

That's what drives me as a director. I love developing a vision and telling stories. I love collaborating with artists. I love the energy and pressure of production. Most of all, I love using the language of cinema to create work that feels human, visually compelling, and emotionally honest.

And I like to make the process enjoyable while doing it.
